Note - The old Fort on the west side of the Garcitas Creek on the old California Ranch of John Keeran is site of the camp of the 40 Spanish soldiers on Espiritu Santos Bay and who Aguayo reinforced with 50 more in 1722. He also layed [sic] out a fort on this spot - La Bahia. (But not on the same spot that La Salle's Fort St. Louis was established in 1685.) Not LaSalle's location.
